Des Meurons 4-Plex is a four-unit multifamily project developed in partnership with B2K Builders. Similar to the Weatherdon 3-Plex, the project explores a small-scale approach to adding “Missing Middle” housing in Winnipeg’s established neighbourhoods.

The design takes familiar residential elements and gives them a modern take. A front porch clad in vertical cedar creates a clear entrance, while the gable slopes toward the street to make the building feel smaller than it is.

The four units include two two-storey units and two lower-level units. Large sunken patios bring natural light and fresh air into the lower units, while balconies provide private outdoor space above.

The result is four units on a single lot, adding density without feeling like a large apartment building.
